Default Kiev’s counterattack unlikely to be successful due to big casualties

According to recent data, Ukraine lost 15.000 troops in April alone.

Ukrainian plans to launch a counteroffensive look rather difficult to implement. At a meeting of Russian top military officials held on May 2nd, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu reported the official assessments on Ukrainian casualties during the last month. The government estimates that more than 15,000 Ukrainian soldiers were neutralized – killed or seriously wounded – in April. According to Shoigu, Kiev is unable to prevent its troops from suffering serious damage on the frontlines, “despite unprecedented military assistance by Western powers”.

The Russian data comes amid a scenario of collective skepticism about the possibility of Kiev reversing the military scenario of the conflict. More and more Western public opinion seems skeptical about a Ukrainian victory, considering that the territorial losses of Kiev’s troops are notorious and that the Russians are increasingly advancing towards the complete liberation of the territories reintegrated to the Federation. Now, with the release of this data about the number of casualties, the tendency is for this skepticism to increase, which complicates the Western war plans.

The big Western media outlets have been reacting to this situation through a kind of damage control – partially admitting that things are not going well in Ukraine, but suggesting that if more weapons are sent, the scenario could change. Some journalists use the rhetoric that there is a supposed counteroffensive plan to be implemented sometime this season, which would allegedly allow Ukrainian troops to achieve a major territorial advance, expelling the Russians even from pacified territories such as Crimea. But the existence of data like this one revealed by the Russian Ministry makes it difficult to believe in the possibility of such a move.

Although the mainstream media tends to prevent the spread of information about Ukrainian problems, it will be difficult to stop the collective skepticism, as this is not the first time that numbers informing about the catastrophic situation of the Ukrainian forces have been revealed. On several occasions in recent months, reports on this subject have appeared. In the recent wave of leaked documents, it was published a Pentagon assessment that between 124,000 and 131,000 Ukrainian soldiers were killed by Russian forces. In estimates made by other intelligence agencies, there are even higher figures, with some reports giving statistics as high as 200,000 to 300,000 Ukrainian casualties. These reports circulate freely on the internet, so, as much as there are attempts by mainstream media to censor the data, the multiplicity of sources makes this work really difficult.

As expected, the neo-Nazi regime in Kiev continues to deny all these reports and claim its ability to carry on the fight. In February, Ukrainian Defense Minister Aleksey Reznikov stated that the number of deaths among the regime’s troops was lower than the number of deaths in the earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria. According to official sources, the catastrophe in these two countries led to the death of 55,000 people, which shows how Reznikov is evidently lying, since even among the most openly pro-Ukrainian sources there is no belief in such a low number of casualties.

Similar declarations are also expected for the near future, especially responding to Shoigu’s statements. Kiev’s officials will try in every way to show that they have control over the situation of their troops and that their soldiers are in sufficient numbers for a counteroffensive – depending only on more Western weapons, thus justifying the “beggar” behavior for which Zelensky has already become known. At the same time, in Western countries governments will somehow have to convince their citizens that it is indeed prudent and necessary to continue sending arms to Kiev.

The wisest thing to do would be to admit the alarming numbers of Ukrainian casualties and stop the war machine behind the regime. Considering that it is an unwinnable conflict, negotiating peace is the best alternative for all sides. But neither Ukraine has the sovereignty to make such a decision, nor NATO has an interest in any possibility of peace. So, most likely, Ukrainian citizens will continue to die on the frontlines’ “meatgrinder”.

No worries for NATO, the Poles will be next to step into the meat grinder. NATO has no problem finding corrupt politicians throughout Europe willing to sacrifice their lands and people for a few dollars more and a pat on the head from President Joe Bidet and co. Apart from the French, no one else in Europe is protesting about becoming meat in the meat grinder.

Poland today 70% built on stolen german land, and Poland prosperity 90 % achieved by german money, transfered from Germany to EU and then transfered to Poland as EU-subvention money. So yes Poland is fine right now – but that has nothing to do with the Poles but a lot with the germans and them being robbed and oppressed since 1945.

Default How Much Money Has US Sent to Ukraine and Where Has It All Gone?

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced a $300 military aid package to Ukraine this week, bringing total US weapons assistance to over $35.7 billion, or about 65% of the $55 billion in arms sent by NATO to date. On top of that are tens of billions of dollars in economic “support” and humanitarian aid. Where has all this money gone?

"Pursuant to a delegation of authority from President Biden, I am authorizing our 37th drawdown of US arms and equipment for Ukraine valued at $300 million," Blinken said a press release Wednesday, vowing that Washington would "continue to stand with our Ukrainian partners."

"Russia could end its war today," Blinken teased, evoking Biden’s remarks in February that the Ukraine crisis – which was caused by decades of NATO expansion, a Western-backed coup in Kiev in 2014, and a brutal eight-year-long war in Donbass, was somehow President Putin’s "
,"
and that he "could end the war with a word." (The secretary of state left out Washington and London’s role in squashing peace talks between Moscow and Kiev last spring, naturally).

What's in the New US Aid Package to Ukraine?

The new package of US arms assistance will include ammo for Ukraine's High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), artillery, howitzer and tank shells, anti-tank weapons and rockets, small arms, trucks, trailers, and spare parts. Blinken did not elaborate on the toll the additional supplies would have on the US' warfighting capability, or the headaches associated with Kiev burning through weapons and ammunition at rates considerably faster than NATO countries' ability to produce it.

How Much Money Total Has the US Spent on Ukraine?

The Russia-NATO proxy war in Ukraine is already one of the top 10 military entanglements in American history, with no end in sight. In 2022 alone, Congress earmarked more than $112 billion to Ukraine for military, economic, and humanitarian assistance. That's on top of over $2.5 billion in US military aid sent to Kiev between 2014 and 2021, a $1 billion loan in 2014, and over $1.1 billion in economic support between 2017 and 2018, and $2.6 billion in new military aid announced last month.

To date, Ukraine has now cost the US more (in dollars adjusted for inflation) than the 1991 Persian Gulf War, the American Civil War, the Spanish-American War, the American Revolution and Revolutionary War, the Mexican-American War, and the War of 1812. The Ukraine crisis is behind only the First and Second World Wars, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan, whose costs ran into the hundreds of billions or even trillions of dollars.

In his opening remarks at a meeting of NATO defense officials last month, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin announced that Washington alone has contributed over $35 billion in military aid to Ukraine.

On top of that is economic and humanitarian support. According to the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, the US earmarked $27.1 billion for so-called financial aid, and $4 billion for humanitarian aid, between January 2022 and February 2023.

Where is the Money Going?

Where is the aid going? Officials have admitted that they "have almost zero" idea what happens to weapons and ammo after they enter the Ukrainian "fog of war." USAID administrator Samantha Power has assured that Washington has found no "evidence that US assistance is being misused or misspent." These assurances are little comfort to US taxpayers amid extensive reporting on arms sent to Ukraine somehow winding up on the black market and in the hands of criminal gangs and militia groups across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

On the economic and humanitarian aid front too, major "hiccups" have been reported, with veteran US investigative journalist Seymour Hersh revealing last month that the Zelensky government had embezzled $400 million or more on the purchase of diesel fuel in 2022.

What is Ukraine's National Debt, and Who Does It Owe?

Apparently taking a page out of the US' playbook of racking up massive debts, Kiev has nearly doubled its national debt over the past year, from $57 billion in February 2022 to over $106.2 billion a year later. Another measurement puts total Ukrainian national debt even higher - over $161.94 billion.

At the start of the crisis last year, Ukrainian officials cautiously floated a proposed debt amnesty for Kiev, urging "international financial organizations" to "revise the debt policy and zero out the debts of Ukraine."

The debt reprieve talk was soon squashed, however, with Kiev not only racking up new debts, but being forced to repay old obligations to the International Monetary Fund to the tune of over $2.7 billion, plus $486 million in surcharges – more than spending on education, the environment, and other major programs combined.

Western creditors have taken the opportunity to take advantage of Ukraine's vulnerable position to push forward long-sought reforms which had been resisted even by successive post-2014 coup governments – such as easing land ownership laws to allow oligarchs and foreign financial interests to expand control over the country's highly fertile chernozem (lit. "black soil") agricultural land.

On top of that, President Zelensky has made it abundantly clear that his government is only too happy to accommodate multinational corporations in making a healthy profit while "rebuilding" Ukraine.

"It is obvious that American business can become the locomotive that will once again push forward global economic growth. We have already managed to attract attention and have cooperation with such giants of the international financial and investment world as BlackRock, JPMorgan, Golden Sachs [sic], such American brands as StarLink or Westinghouse have already become part of our Ukrainian way…Everyone can become a big business by working with Ukraine in all sectors from weapons and defense and defense to construction, from communication to agriculture, from transport to IT, from banks to medicine," Zelensky said at a US Chambers of Commerce meeting in January.

The Ukrainian president did not mention that these "locomotives" don't work for free, and that, whether at home or in foreign countries, their primary goal and legal responsibility is and has always been to making profits for their shareholders.

How Much Money are NATO Countries Giving to Ukraine?

The Pentagon estimates overall Western military aid to Ukraine to amount to $55 billion, while non-US economic and humanitarian aid commitments currently top $60 billion.

Why is the US 'Helping' Ukraine?

Washington and its allies have offered a number of lofty reasons for supporting the Ukraine proxy war, from "defending democracy" to stopping the Kremlin from its supposed drive to create "a new Russian Empire."

But reading between the lines and monitoring the remarks made by officials and Washington think tank experts reveals the true, far more cynical purpose of US policy: "
"
(according to Austin) and if possible, regime change in Moscow (according to Biden, although the White House has since retracted these remarks).

Former Reagan-era National Security Council operator Oliver North may have put it best in a "quiet part out loud moment" late last year.
"It's money well spent and in my humble opinion this is very much like what Ronald Reagan did back in the 80s," North said in a television interview last November. "[Reagan] believed in supporting freedom fighters. He did it in Latin America, he did it in Angola, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique. He did it in Afghanistan. Those people were willing, as the Ukrainian people are, to use their blood and our bullets."

Naturally, Mr. North did not elaborate on the sorts of odious forces his boss was willing to support by funding these "freedom fighters," nor the human toll of US policy ("their blood"), either in Ukraine or around the globe.

Washington and its allies have offered a number of lofty reasons for supporting the Ukraine proxy war, from "defending democracy" to stopping the Kremlin from its supposed drive to create "a new Russian Empire." - Democracy would be better defended with identity proof and a honest Presidential election at home in the United States. The War in Ukraine is a multinational Cooperation land and assets grab, paid for by the people.

Default A change in targeting strategy on the Russian side

"I think we're entering a period where a Lot of people, at the top of a lot of Governments, who have been pursuing policies that are antithetical to the interests of their people are going to be very worried about surviving in office". That statement is why I have the utmost Respect for Colonel Macgregor, astute, concise and accurate, from an honest man.

Default Moscow might cut all ties with london over uk’s rabid russophobic hostility

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

There’s no indication London will stop escalating, as it’s now at the forefront of the initiative to deliver F-16 fighter jets to the Neo-Nazi junta. Moscow is well aware of this and has made efforts to communicate with the UK, but to no avail. London’s rabid Russophobia seems to be clouding its judgment, leaving Russia with no other option but to just cut contact.

There’s hardly a shortage of Russophobia in the political West, whether it’s the previously latent one or the much more blatant hatred unashamedly demonstrated in recent times. In most countries dominated by the United States this has become the “new normal” since February 24, 2022. However, of all Washington DC’s allies and satellite states/vassals, there’s one that makes even such endemically Russophobic countries like Poland or the Baltic states seem “moderate” – the United Kingdom.

In recent announcements, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said that it could completely cut diplomatic ties with the UK over its extremely escalatory actions such as the delivery of ever more advanced and longer-range weapons to the Kiev regime. In a statement for Russia’s RT, published on Friday, the Russian MFA cited London’s significant and ever-growing meddling in Ukraine, as well as other actions aimed against Russia, particularly when it comes to arming and directly assisting the Neo-Nazi junta forces. Although the MFA stated that cutting ties with the UK might be an “extreme measure”, it was left without virtually any other option, so this move is being considered very seriously.

“The severing of diplomatic ties with the UK would be an ‘extreme measure’, but [Russia] could end up taking the step considering London’s significant involvement in the Ukraine conflict,” the Russian MFA warned on Friday.

On May 18, The Wall Street Journal published a report claiming that “UK special forces from the British Army’s SAS [Special Air Service] and SRR [Special Reconnaissance Regiment] regiments and the Navy’s SBS [Special Boat Service] units are operating very close to the front lines in Ukraine”. The WSJ presented the report in a way that indicates these actions constitute a supposed “split” in policy with the US, as Washington DC has allegedly “held back sending special forces to directly assist the Ukrainians on the front lines of fighting”. However, such claims are rather laughable, especially when considering numerous reports about American special forces and intelligence assets operating in Ukraine.

Worse yet, intelligence sources are adamant that special services operators sent by the US are directly supporting the Kiev regime forces, including by directing their attacks on not just the Russian military, but also targets deep within Russia. The WSJ report implies that the only supposed difference between the US and UK special forces and intelligence assets is that those sent by London directly take part in hostilities on the frontlines while their American counterparts “only provide advisory services”. What’s more, the aforementioned UK special forces are believed to be directly involved in planning and assisting cross-border sabotage operations and terrorist attacks, including the latest one against civilians in the Belgorod oblast (region).

When asked by RT about these controversial (to say the least) reports, the Russian MFA stated: “[Moscow] is well aware of consistent efforts by London aimed at providing military assistance to the Neo-Nazi regime in Kiev.”

“The UK’s support includes the supply of domestically produced and foreign military hardware to Ukraine, the training of Ukrainian troops in Britain and elsewhere in Europe, intelligence sharing, consulting support and likely participation in the operational-tactical planning by the [Ukrainian] military, including sabotage, other operations, direct provision of cyber-security, [and] deployment of mercenaries,” the Russian MFA said in an official statement, further adding: “We can’t rule out that the British participated in the planning, organization and support of terrorist attacks carried out by the Kiev regime on the territory of Russia, including through the provision of intelligence information.”

Deborah Bronnert, the UK ambassador to Russia, has been summoned several times by the Russian government that demanded explanations of London’s unadulterated enmity. However, the policy of escalating confrontation with Moscow, started under former prime minister Boris Johnson, seems to be going on unabated. According to various sources, during the first several months of Russia’s counteroffensive against NATO aggression in Europe Johnson even actively worked to prevent peace talk initiatives between Russia and the Kiev regime, some of which could have stopped the conflict from escalating and causing further bloodshed. Worse yet, the former UK PM also personally and repeatedly urged the Neo-Nazi junta frontman Volodymyr Zelensky “not to give an inch of compromise with the Russians”.

Since then, regardless of who was at its helm, the UK has only escalated its already extensive military support for the Kiev regime. Apart from training the junta’s forces, London was also the first to pledge the deliveries of heavy armor and various missile systems, such as the “Brimstone” (against ground targets) and “Starstreak” MANPADS (man-portable air defense system). More alarmingly, the UK also delivered depleted uranium munitions, as well as the stealthy “Storm Shadow” (also known as SCALP-EG in French service) air-launched cruise missiles. Reports indicate that the Russian military destroyed the depleted uranium munitions in a recent strike, while the transonic “Storm Shadow” missiles have been used in combat, but proven largely ineffective against Russia’s second-to-none air defense.

However, there’s no indication London will stop escalating, as it’s now at the forefront of the initiative to deliver F-16 fighter jets to the Neo-Nazi junta. Moscow is well aware of this and has made efforts to communicate with the UK, but to no avail. London’s rabid Russophobia seems to be clouding its judgment, leaving Russia with no other option but to just cut contact, which would be yet another step closer to a world-ending thermonuclear conflict between Moscow and the political West.

they should have done it a long time ago, and that should go for all nato countries, those bastards need to become civilised.

they must have bet the farm on globalism and the fall of russia but will now become a far north african country like much of europe.

in bahkmut alone wagner killed more ukro separatists and foreign mercenaries than the size of the entire uk army. no wonder the ukro goblins are coping and seething 🤣🤣🤣. such is the life(or lack thereof) of natostan cannonfodder.

Moscow Might Cut All Ties With London Over UK’s Rabid Russophobic Hostility

Default Media coverage of ukraine war = a great flood of propaganda

Dear Jeff,

TREND ALERT: MEDIA COVERAGE OF UKRAINE WAR = A GREAT FLOOD OF PROPAGANDA

What used to be called “journalism” is dead.

Among the U.S. and NATO nations who invade foreign countries under the delusion of bringing “freedom and democracy,” those Rights have vanished in America and Europe. Freedom of Speech has been silenced and government control has replaced democracy. Those disagreeing with the “official” perspective are censored and accused of spreading “misinformation.”

Only one side of any narrative is permitted... the political side in charge.
Indeed, there's no clearer example of this then the Western media’s anti-Russia campaign which has been going on since the start of the Cold War some 75 years ago and has hit new highs since the Ukraine War began in 2022.

Most recently it has hit a fever pitch after the blowing up of the Russia-controlled Kakhovka dam on Tuesday in Ukraine's Kherson region.

Without a shred of evidence, on behalf of the State that controls them, the mainstream media assigned blame on Russia for blowing up its own dam in territory Moscow controls. Consider the myriad of headlines such as these that have flooded our screens. They depict a seemingly united front in assigning blame, transforming mere accusations into fact:

AP: "UKRAINE ACCUSES RUSSIA OF DESTROYING MAJOR DAM NEAR KHERSON, WARNS OF ECOLOGICAL DISASTER"

CNN: "DESTRUCTION OF CRITICAL UKRAINE DAME IS 'ECOCIDE,'" ZELENSKY AIDE SAYS"

POLITICO: “PUTIN LABELS DAM ATTACK ‘BARBARIC.’ THE WORLD SAYS HE ORCHESTRATED IT”

NEWSWEEK: “UKRAINE DEMANDS RUSSIA PAY BILLIONS IN REPARATIONS FOR DAM DESTRUCTION”

NEWSWEEK: “CRAZY’ PUTIN SACRIFICED CRIMEA BY BLOWING UP DAM" – UKRAINE MAYOR

TIME: “ZELENSKY FEARED FLOODED UKRAINE RIVER BEFORE DAM EXPLOSION”

BARRON’S: “KAKHOVKA DAM WAS BLOWN UP BY RUSSIA SAYS UKRAINIAN PRESIDENT ZELENSKY”

WASHINGTON EXAMINER: “UKRAINE DESTROYED, ZELENSKY CALLS IT ‘MASS ENVIRONMENTAL DESTRUCTION’”

THE DAILY EXPRESS: “ZELENSKY LAYS BLAME FOR DAM ATTACK AT FEET OF RUSSIAN BRIGADE WITH HELLISH MOTTO”

Unfortunately, these headlines have proven effective in steering public opinion, given that an overwhelming majority of news readers never read past them... while these Russian news headlines were not reported.

TASS: "KAKHOVKA HPP CONTINUES TO COLLAPSE, WATER IS DISCHARGED UNCONTROLLABLY" – MAYOR
Ukrainian forces shelled the Kakhovka HPP in the early morning hours on Tuesday, presumably using missiles fired from an Olkha multiple launch rocket system (MLRS). Slide gate valves on the plant's dam collapsed as a result of the shelling, triggering an uncontrolled discharge of water.

SPUTNIK: "KAHKOVKA POWER PLANT DESTRUCTION DELIBERATE SABOTAGE BY UKRAINE – KREMLIN

One Way to Mainstream News

The Western media makes propaganda "official" by promoting their Ukrainian ally's side and quoting its president Volodymyr Zelensky with headlines such as this one from the Associated Press: "Ukraine Accuses Russia of Destroying Major Dam Near Kherson, Warns of Ecological Disaster."

The headline, conveniently, tells only one side… the favored side. Indeed, Russia also denied any involvement and has blamed Ukraine for blowing up the dam... but the mainstream news, as CBS makes clear, ignores that claim: “Ukraine Says Russia Blew Up Nova Kakhovka Dam in ‘Act of Terror.’”

The hate-Russians-at-all-cost approach to journalism in the West is becoming more apparent by the day, and these outlets know they can form public opinion by headlines alone. Studies have shown that 80% of news readers never make it to the actual articles and just read headlines.

The Other Side

It has become the standard in the Western propaganda media that Russia is not to be trusted, so any comments from Moscow should be looked at suspiciously. Here are some other headlines from Russian media that have been dismissed by the West:

RT: “UKRAINE CONSIDERED BLOWING UP KEY DAM" – EX-COMMANDER

SPUTNIK: “PREPLANNED KAKHOVKA DAM DESTRUCTON IS KIEV’S CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY AND NATURE”

RT: “RUSSIA HOLDS WEST RESPONSIBLE FOR DAM DISASTER" – UN ENVOY

RT: "UKRAINE BLEW UP KAKHOVKA DAM AS REVENGE FOR FAILED OFFENSIVE" – KREMLIN

Russian President Vladimir Putin called the attack on the Kakhovka dam “barbaric” and said Kyiv is “committing war crimes” and “openly using terrorist methods.”

Putin made the comments during a phone call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. His Turkish counterpart called for an independent and transparent investigation into the dam attack that is expected to cause “monumental humanitarian, economic and environmental catastrophe,” according to the UN.

Anatoly Antonov, the Russian ambassador to the United States, said, "There is a targeted disinformation campaign going on in the U.S. media around the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant."

“There are many insinuations about the fact that Russia allegedly has blown up the most important infrastructure facility,” Antonov continued, according to Tass. “Administration officials have framed their rhetoric as if the Russian Federation were in any case responsible for all incidents that occur during the Ukrainian conflict.”

He said, “This is a textbook example of an ill-conceived, flawed position that has already caused serious upheavals in the world. However, this is obviously not enough for the United States, and terrorist acts of Ukraine will receive further support.”

TRENDPOST: The Trends Journal has been opposed to Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine but fully understands why Russia invaded. (See: WASHINGTON IS DRIVING THE WORLD TO THE FINAL WAR, 28 APRIL 2014).

We have also forecast, before the war began, that Kyiv should negotiate for a peace plan with Moscow since it will not defeat Russia on the battlefield:

“WESTERN MEDIA HIGHLIGHTS CIVILIAN CASUALTIES IN UKRAINE WAR, BUT IGNORED THEM IN U.S./NATO WARS” (8 Mar 2022)

“WHITE HOUSE ASKS CONGRESS FOR $32.5 BILLION TO FIGHT UKRAINE WAR AND COVID WAR” (8 Mar 2022)

“U.S. LOST EVERY WAR SINCE WWII, BUT IS TELLING UKRAINE HOW TO BEAT RUSSIA” (8 Mar 2022)

“RET. COL. DOUGLAS MACGREGOR SAYS RUSSIA WILL CRUSH UKRAINE”
(8 Mar 2022)

“BIDEN WARNS AMERICANS HIS SANCTIONS WILL HURT RUSSIA… ARE AMERICANS WRONG ABOUT WHO WILL WIN THE UKRAINE WAR?” (15 Mar 2022)

“RUSSIA SURROUNDS UKRAINIAN FIGHTERS IN DONBAS, ADJUSTS TACTICS” (29 Mar 2022)

“BEIJING STOPS WESTERN SANCTIONS ON RUSSIA”
(22 Mar 2022)

Our Word is the Only Word

U.S. media and its politicians demean Russian news outlets such Pravda as being the gold standard of propaganda. Review the West’s mainstream coverage of the Ukraine War and only one side, their side, is sold as the truth. The Western media blamed Russia for bombing its own Nord Stream pipelines, attacking its own Crimean bridge, and conducting a drone strike at the Kremlin. When Seymour Hersh ran an extensive exposé accusing the Biden administration of carrying out the pipeline attacks, he was ignored and ridiculed.

The media also ignored the prank phone call where Dmitry Kuleba, Ukraine’s foreign minister, admitted to being behind attacks on civilian infrastructure in Crimea and Belgorod.

“Well, if you were to ask me who blows up things in Crimea or Belgorod, then speaking privately, as much privacy we can have in a Zoom call, I’d tell you, yes, that was us,” Kuleba said.

Who Benefits?

Sergei Shoigu, the Russian defense minister, said Ukraine destroyed the dam to prevent Russian attacks in the Kherson region after what he alleged was a failed Ukrainian counteroffensive, according to The Associated Press.

The AP reported that Ukrainian officials “alleged Russia blew up the dam to hinder Kyiv’s counteroffensive, even though observers note that crossing the broad Dnieper would be extremely challenging.”

Col. Douglas Macgregor, (ret.), a senior fellow with The American Conservative and the former advisor to the Secretary of Defense in the Trump administration, told Judge Andrew Napolitano Tuesday that it looks as though the explosion occurred within the dam’s structure and could have something to do with the turbines.

“Whether this is the result of deliberate explosives or damage that occurred last year, no one knows. But more and more people are concluding that neither the Ukrainians nor Russians deliberately destroyed this dam.”

Either way, the public should be given the facts and form their own opinions, which is why the motto of The Trends Journal is: Think for yourself.

TREND FORECAST
: Despite the hard facts, American and European media and politicians will continue to blame the Kakhovka dam’s bombing on the Russians while ignoring the hard facts.

For example, in January, The Washington Post published a report on Kyiv’s plans for a counteroffensive and wrote: “Major General Andrey Kovalchuk considered flooding the river. The Ukrainians, he said, even conducted a test strike with a HIMARS launcher on one of the floodgates at the Nova Kakhovka dam, making three holes in the metal to see if the Dnieper’s water could be raised enough to stymie Russian crossings but not flood nearby villages. The test was a success, Kovalchuk said, but the step remained a last resort.”

Andrew Korybko, a Moscow-based American political analyst, noted on his Substack that “What’s so damning about their words is that the New York Times (NYT) quoted Zelensky as saying in mid-October that Russia was supposedly plotting a ‘false flag’ attack to blow up that same dam.”

Damn the Dams

The New York Times reported in January 2022 that the U.S. bombed a major dam in Syria at the height of its conflict with ISIS, even though the Tabqa Dam was on a no-strike list because of the havoc its flooding could cause.

The paper noted that then-Lt. Gen. Stephen J. Townsend, said allegations of U.S. involvement were based on “crazy reporting.”

The paper said, “In fact, members of a top-secret U.S. Special Operations unit called Task Force 9 had struck the dam using some of the largest conventional bombs in the U.S. arsenal, including at least one BLU-109 bunker-buster bomb designed to destroy thick concrete structures, according to two former senior officials.”

All is fair in love and war, and even more fair when it comes to U.S.-approved actions.

Amid this deluge of propaganda, it is vital to remember the power of journalism to shape public perception and, consequently, influence geopolitical outcomes.

The gravity of this responsibility underscores the need for journalists to provide balanced, objective coverage. It is not enough to regurgitate accusations; the public deserves a thorough exploration of all sides, facilitating an informed judgment rather than a manipulated opinion.

The Kakhovka dam saga serves as a rallying cry for true journalism – an urgent call to cast off the shackles of bias, confront the complexity of truth, and shed light on the nuances of the story. The future of responsible journalism hinges on this critical pivot towards integrity and balanced reporting. This tale, like many others, underscores the power of the media and the necessity for it to wield its influence with care and responsibility.

Therefore, The Trends Journal, by our track record, is dedicated in providing “The Truth in Trends.”
Sincerely,

Gerald Celente

Default Scott Ritter: Ukraine DESPERATELY Tries To DRAG Poland Into Russian War

http://https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVa4aOGjsG4

Scott Ritter speaks with Stephen Gardner about the now cancelled grain deal which allowed Ukraine and Russia to use the black sea for shipping. Progohzin is finished. Putin will spare his life but he will be removed from Wagner and forced to live in shame, exiled in Belarus. Colonel Douglas Macgregor says Ukraine is trying to pull Poland into the war with Putin. Zelenskyy is desperate to pull Poland into the war. This would strengthen their numbers and force NATO's hand. However, Scott Ritter believes USA will tell Poland to stand down or go it alone with a two country alliance. NATO will not defend or rescue Poland. This is becoming more and more dangerous as USA leads NATO towards world war 3.

Default Ukraine peace deal

Ukraine peace deal reached between NATO and Russia

By Benjamin Fulford July 24, 2023.

An agreement to end the Ukrainian war was reached in principle last week following high-level negotiations between British MI6 Intelligence and the Russian FSB. The details will be negotiated over the coming months sources in both agencies confirm.

The basic outline of the agreement is as follows:

Russia will get the entire Ukrainian Black Sea coast.

The city of Odesa will become a demilitarized free trade zone to allow Ukrainian trade to proceed smoothly.

The country of Abkhazia will be internationally recognized and be turned into a free trade zone.

The war criminals in Ukraine, including Vladimir Zelinsky, will be removed from power and face justice.

A fully modernized 300,000-man NATO army will be established in Germany. It will be strong enough to deter Russian invasion but too weak to threaten Russia. It will also keep the military-industrial complex in business until a swords-to-plowshares transition can be managed.

Also, a Polish/Lithuanian confederacy may take over the non-Russian parts of Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin himself says “Plans may be in the works to use an intended Polish-Lithuanian-Ukrainian joint military unit as an occupation force in western Ukrainian territories, and any Polish forces entering Lviv are certain to remain there,”

https://tass.com/world/1650119

He also says that if the Ukrainians “want to relinquish or sell off something in order to pay their bosses, as traitors usually do, that’s their business. We will not interfere.” In other words, the Russians seem to be OK with this as long as “they leave Belarus alone.”

http://en.kremlin.ru/events/president/news/71714

Of course, there are hotheads in both Russia and the West who are not satisfied with this arrangement.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko says he is “starting to get tense with the Wagner group because they want to march on Warsaw”.

https://tass.com/world/1650683

The Khazarian mafia propaganda rag the New York Times for its part, is still clinging to the illusion that a thoroughly defeated Ukraine can still somehow win this war “if only they get more weapons and money.

This is delusional as Putin notes:

“…the whole world sees that the vaunted Western, supposedly invulnerable, military equipment is on fire, and is often even inferior to some of the Soviet-made weapons in terms of its tactical and technical characteristics [and] the West does not have the production capacities quickly replenish the consumption of reserves of equipment and ammunition.”

In addition “People in Ukraine are asking a legitimate question more often: for what, for the sake of whose selfish interests, are their relatives and friends dying.”

This is why cooler heads prevail. The alternative is all-out nuclear war which is something only the KM wants.

Diplomats are expected to start working on the details of the peace agreement in Malta during the month of August, MI6 sources say.

They sent us a press release by the Anglo-Saxon military group known as the Patriots International Alliance. It calls for an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine “to prevent a potential nuclear conflict.” It also recognizes the atrocities committed against ethnic Russians in Ukraine and “the installation of US DoD bioweapons laboratories in Ukraine” as war crimes.

Since these military veterans have not accepted bribes from the KM, they are looking for financial sponsors for the peace conference in Malta. They can be contacted as follows: MG Paul E Vallely US Army (Ret) Chairman – [email protected]

Let’s face it; Ukraine was a catastrophic military defeat for the KM. As Colonel Douglas MacGregor notes: “Ukrainian service personnel are surrendering at the first opportunity owing to the belief that they are being treated as ‘nothing more than cannon fodder’….we have not even talked about the estimated 60,000 children who have disappeared coming out of Ukraine.”

The lesson learned in Ukraine is that “American military power consists of boutique forces designed for safari in Africa and the Middle East, not decisive combat operations against great continental powers like Russia or China….It is time for Washington to turn its attention inward and address the decades of American societal, economic, and military decay that ensued after 1991. It’s time to reverse the decline in American national prosperity,”

http://futuredefensevisions.blogspot.com/

The Europeans are also sick and tired of supporting a dying US regime. P3 Freemason sources say that in the past 2.5 years, EU countries paid $1.12 trillion for expensive US natural gas which would have been enough for 10 years’ worth of Russian gas before the Ukrainian war started. This is why the Europeans voted against the Americans and with the British at the recently ended NATO summit.

History shows that whenever there is a decisive military defeat, regime change follows. The parade of Rockefeller stooges from the fake Biden administration visiting China recently has been part of a desperate attempt by the old US regime to stay in power. Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Anthony Blinken and Janet Yellen all went to China on begging missions and returned empty-handed. This led to top Rockefeller bagman, the hundred-year-old Henry Kissinger himself, being sent to China. Chinese government sources say they told Kissinger . . .

Default Scott Ritter - Nato Cannot Fight Russia.

In Vietnam in 1968 we were firing 6" artillery rounds that were manufactured in 1936. I saw the packing slip on the pallet. Scott you are a fantastic guy and I watch every video. You are 100% in my book but I just had to include this fact on artillery projectiles. God bless you for telling the truth.

The sad part is this war was SO unnecessary. I am TRULY ashamed our gov'ts here in the West CONNED the Ukr people into this terrible situation.

I can never remember a time when the USA is not at war. The best remedy for war mongering or a bully is a beating and defeat that is unforgettable.

Why don't we have smart and wise heads like Scott Ritter and Col. MacDougall in our government calling the shots? So sad and so pathetic what has become of America.

Imagine selling out your country’s people and your country for money ... shame on Zelensky.

Default Ukraine Rearrests American Blogger Gonzalo Lira Trying To Enter Hungary For Asylum

Chilean-American blogger Gonzalo Lira, who was initially detained by Ukrainian intelligence in May for 'pro-Russian sympathies'—has reportedly been rearrested as he was trying to make his way out of Ukraine into Hungary. His crime?: publishing YouTube videos critical of the war & the US-Kiev-NATO stance.

He once again could face lengthy imprisonment, or even torture - given previous allegations which surfaced during his first detention - but he's been shunned by the Biden administration and ignored by mainstream media. So much for "democracy", free speech, and rule of law... as Lira simply doesn't have the 'correct' viewpoint on the war, and thus Washington doesn't bat an eye over his fate. Watch an entirely legitimate question on Lira from a brave reporter get ignored in the State Dept briefing room (Aug.1st)...

On Tuesday, Lira posted multiple videos explaining that he was attempting to escape Ukraine to neighboring Hungary.

He was due in a Ukrainian court this week, but essentially skipped bail and tried to make it across the Western border, where he was hoping to be granted asylum. His initial apprehension on May 1st by the the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) was for "producing and disseminating materials that justified the armed aggression" of Russia. This included a piece of analysis posted to YouTube called simply 'Ukraine: A Primer".

While Lira had not been heard from in months through his typically active social media accounts, he suddenly this week began posting again and documented his ordeal, summarized in a First Post report as follows:
According to Lira, he was beaten and tortured because the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) wanted to extort his entire savings, which amounted to approximately $100,000 when considering the value of the confiscated computers and phones.

...Following his arrest, a judge ruled that he should remain in custody until the trial. Notably, in April 2022, Lira had been detained by the SBU before but was released after a week without any charges filed, likely due to public pressure.

Scenes from his first arrest and a court hearing in May, which his family and supporters called a "kangaroo court"...

Still facing potential prosecution, it seems he took his chances and fled...

And there is now what appears to be an official statement from Ukraine's military, issued Wednesday, stating that he is indeed under arrest again (below).

Additionally, Mark Sleboda, an American political commentator and Navy veteran living in Russia, reported the following on Wednesday: "I can affirm that Gonzalo Lira, wanted by the Kiev Putsch regime for the crime of criticizing it (aka as 'free speech'), tried to escape the West-backed Kiev Putsch regime across the Ukrainian border into Hungary where he intended to request political asylum."

"I can further affirm that Lira was stopped on the Ukrainian side of the border from crossing and has since disappeared, now for more than 24 hours," Sleboda added. "That is the last that anyone has heard from him."

Will an American in Ukraine be convicted for posting YouTube videos? And more importantly, will Washington raise any objection whatsoever over the fate of its citizen?

Default Douglas Macgregor - A Direct Counterattack on Western Ukraine.

10 VIII 2023.

All of it worth watching and listening too. Ukraine an even a more corrupt state than Mexico, is moving towards collapse.

The Global elite that run USA and Europe with mass migration are not appealing to the rest of the world where 'globalism' is neither wanted or acceptable.

Default US told Pakistan to remove Imran Khan from power

US told Pakistan to remove Prime Minister Imran Khan from power

Washington took issue with the PM’s neutral stance on Russia’s military operation in Ukraine.

The US State Department pressured Pakistan to remove its popular prime minister, Imran Khan, last year over the latter’s neutrality regarding the conflict in Ukraine, The Intercept reported on Wednesday, citing a secret diplomatic cable obtained from a Pakistani military source. The cable documents a meeting between US State Department officials and Pakistan’s ambassador to the US on March 7, 2022.

“People here and in Europe are quite concerned about why Pakistan is taking such an aggressively neutral position” on Ukraine, US Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu warns his Pakistani counterpart in the cable, blaming the PM alone for the offending policy.

While Ambassador Asad Majeed Khan attempts to correct the American, pointing out that Pakistan’s position on Ukraine is shared across the government, Lu counters that it is the PM’s behavior that is the problem, but that “if the no-confidence vote against the Prime Minister succeeds, all will be forgiven in Washington.”

Ex-Pakistani PM claims US plotted against him after Russia deal.

“Otherwise, I think it will be tough going ahead,” he threatens, adding that Europe will follow the US’ lead in the “isolation of the prime minister.” Ambassador Khan reflects in his notes that the threat seems to be coming directly from the White House and suggests a strong diplomatic response.

Khan, who apparently obtained a copy of the cable in the weeks following the meeting, pointed at the US as the director of his ouster after he was removed following a no-confidence vote last April – just as Lu had suggested.

His successor, Shehbaz Sharif, admitted the cable existed and that some of its messaging was inappropriate, but stopped short of acknowledging its confirmation of Khan’s claims.

Washington has categorically denied pressuring Islamabad to remove Khan. While the document obtained by The Intercept does not technically constitute a direct order, it attaches strongly-worded threats to noncompliance, hints at rewards for obedience, and confirms both were viewed as coming directly from President Joe Biden.

Immediately following Khan’s ouster, Pakistan reversed its neutrality on Ukraine, demonstrating its fealty to Washington by supplying copious amounts of weapons to Kiev. Its military was reportedly rewarded with a defense pact covering “joint exercises, operations, training, basing and equipment.”

While polls have suggested Khan would easily win an election were he permitted to run again, he was sentenced to three years in prison last week on corruption charges, blocking him from contesting elections expected to take place this year. He has been charged with numerous crimes since his ouster, from insulting state officials to terrorism, and last month it was announced he would be prosecuted under the Official Secrets Act for revealing the contents of the cable documenting the conspiracy to oust him.
